Nicolas Correa Service installs the CORREA PRISMA 25 milling machine in Slovakia

This CORREA PRISMA 25 bed type milling machine was made in 2004 based on the criteria of versatility, precision and rigidity that are characteristic of this CORREA brand model. Following its purchase on the second-hand machinery market in Holland, the NC Service technicians fully inspected the machine, making any necessary repairs, at the company´s facilities in Burgos. The final step was to certify its excellent machining quality by performing the same protocols as when the machine first left the factory. Following this retrofitting work, this milling machine was put on display in the NC Service Show-Room, where a number of companies were able to see it in operation.

One of these companies was the PPS GROUP from Slovakia. With more than 60 years´ experience in precision engineering, this company is currently focussed on the production and preparation of medium sized welded constructions for different types of equipment in sectors such as mining, construction and transport. During their visit, they got the opportunity to see for themselves how well this CORREA PRISMA 25 milling machine was operating, following the retrofitting work, with its 2,500 mm longitudinal travel, 1,000 mm on both the horizontal and vertical axes, and its Heidenhain TNC-530 control. This visit was important, as it allowed this company from Slovakia to see and test the finished machine, which convinced it to purchase this milling machine for the development and execution of its activity. Three of the company´s technicians were subsequently sent to the NC Service facilities to be trained in the operation and maintenance of the milling machine. Following the installation and commissioning by NC Service at the customer´s plant, this CORREA milling machine is now in full production with all the rest of the machinery there.

This is the first CORREA brand milling machine to be purchased by the PPS GROUP, which decided in favour of the quality of this well-known brand. This was also the first time that Nicolás Correa Service has sold a machine in Slovakia. The design and versatility of this CORREA PRISMA 25 milling machine, together with the professionalism and good work of NC Service in its retrofitting process, makes this milling machine ideal for the execution of high precision work and an excellent machining option for this company in Slovakia.
