A CORREA DIANA 35 retrofitted milling machine installed in Sweden by Nicolás Correa Service
A CORREA DIANA 35 second-hand milling machine was recently installed and commissioned in Sweden by the Nicolás Correa Service, S.A. technicians, following retrofitting work at the company´s facilities in Burgos.
This fixed bed type CORREA DIANA 35 milling machine was originally designed for sectors demanding high versatility and excellent finishing conditions, characteristics which are specific to the CORREA milling machines. Made in 2008, this CNC milling machine has a travel of 3,500 mm on the X axis, and 1,000 mm on the Y and Z axes. Moreover, it features a UDG type automatic milling head with indexed positions of 2.5º, 30-post automatic tool changer and the Heidenhain TNC-530 numerical control, front and rear chip conveyors, and coolant through the spindle and electronic wheel.
Nicolás Correa Service, S.A. purchased this milling machine on the second-hand machinery market in England and, prior to the retrofitting work, the Swedish company BRARUDS MEKANISKA visited the company in Burgos to gain an insight into the milling machine retrofitting work performed by NC Service. The professionalism of the team of technicians and the quality of the work seen during this visit, led this company to purchase this CORREA DIANA 35 milling machine, to be used for different types of machining tasks performed by this company.
The customer was kept informed of the different stages of the entire milling machine retrofitting process. Before the completion of this process, this Swedish company re-inspected the machine in operation at NC Service, getting the opportunity to conduct tests and to check the condition of the retrofitting work made on the milling machine. With the final approval of the customer, obtained during this visit, the final adjustments and tests were made before preparing the machine for shipment.
Finally, following the retrofitting process at Nicolás Correa Service, this machine was shipped to the Swedish town of Sunne, where BRARUDS MEKANISKA is primarily dedicated to machining, turning, cutting and welding. The NC Service technicians travelled to this town in order to perform the installation and commissioning work for this milling machine, conducting the geometry and precision protocols determined by the manufacturer, CORREA, for this type of machine.
With the purchase of this CORREA milling machine, this Swedish company will be in a position to increase its production capacity and to meet its customers´ demands quickly and effectively.
